Sound Deposit is an Online store for downloading voice, sharing, and listening to streaming music playlists. The Creators can free upload their music and audio files, set prices, and the Sound Deposit offer paid memberships with exclusive content not available anywhere else. The Sound Deposit puts power directly in the hands of creators. They have created this platform so anyone can share their art with the world. The goal is to make sure there is an opportunity for success accessible to everyone who has talent and a dream.

PROJECT GOAL

The client wanted to create a website that provides creatives with an opportunity to share their work and collaborate with others. The Creators can free upload their music and audio files, and an online subscription page where members pay to download the audio files. However, there is no subscription required to listen to the audio files. As a result, makers, producers, and designers will be able to share their talents with the world, through the Sound Deposits music community.

PROPOSITION & SOLUTION

Requirement Analysis & Wireframing - The first step in our process was to gain a deep understanding of the client’s business goals and objectives for their website. We also conducted extensive research on their target audience to get insights into what they were looking for. With this information in hand, we set about creating wireframes and prototypes that would address all the key areas identified in our discovery phase.

User Interface & Frontend development - Once the wireframes and prototypes were approved, it was time to start working on the visual design of the site. The product is followed by a beautiful and user-friendly design in FIGMA. We have ensured the site is mobile responsive and all browsers friendly. We used HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and jQuery.

We have developed the website in WordPress as per the client’s requirements. The website meets the required standards regarding main features, including

  • Login and Registration.
  • Uploading content – The creator can upload content without any cost category-wise.
  • Download – The content is visible to all users on the download page. The user has the option of filtering the content category-wise. We laid out the top five most downloaded sound profiles on the download page.
  • Subscription – The non-subscribers can listen to the music. However, users need to take a subscription to download the audio file. There are different packages for the users depending upon the number of downloads they get.
  • Exclusive – The creator has the choice to upload the content directly to the exclusive store. The non-subscribers and subscribers can buy from the store. The audio file they get in the email once the payment has been done.
  • Commission – Either the subscribers download the file or any user buys from the exclusive store the creator gets the Commission from the website on the number of downloads. The creator is compensated and they receive a percentage. The website has the option to notify the creator or just keep track of which sounds are being downloaded.
  • TIP – The registered user can tip any of the creators from the creator’s profile page. The website does not deduct any commission on the tip.
